Terms and Conditions for St Francis Mobile Sauna Company

Welcome to St Francis Mobile Sauna Co. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website (www.stfrancismobilesaunaco.co.za), our booking services, and your participation in our sauna sessions and private hire services. By booking a session or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Us

St Francis Mobile Sauna Co (Pty) Ltd (Reg No: 2026/529586/07) ("we", "us", "our") operates a wood-fired mobile sauna offering sessions at various locations in and around St Francis Bay, Eastern Cape, South Africa, as well as private hire services.

2. Bookings & Payment

2.1. Sessions may be booked online, via WhatsApp, or in person subject to availability. Walk-in sessions are welcome when space allows.2.2. Online bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking. For walk-ins or on-site bookings, payment is required on arrival via card (Yoco terminal) or a Yoco payment link.2.3. Your booking is confirmed only once payment (or deposit, for private hire) is received.2.4. Prices are displayed on our website and may change from time to time. The price at the time of your booking applies to that booking.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

3.1. Sessions: You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 12 hours before your session start time. Cancellations within 12 hours of the session, or failure to arrive ("no-show"), forfeit the session fee.3.2. Weather and operational cancellations: Our sauna operates outdoors and sessions may be cancelled due to weather, safety conditions, or circumstances beyond our control. If we cancel, you may choose either a rebooking or a full refund of the affected session.3.3. Late arrival: Please arrive on time. Sessions run to schedule; late arrival may shorten your session without refund of the unused time.

4. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk

4.1. Sauna use involves exposure to high temperatures and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to dehydration, dizziness, fainting, burns from hot surfaces, and aggravation of existing medical conditions.4.2. You participate at your own risk. By booking, you confirm that you are in adequate health to use a sauna and that you have consulted a medical professional if you have any doubt — in particular if you are pregnant, have a heart or circulatory condition, low or high blood pressure, epilepsy, or any other condition affected by heat.4.3. Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs.4.4. Listen to your body. Leave the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, or unwell, and alert our staff.4.5. Follow all instructions given by our staff, including regarding the stove, hot surfaces, and safe entry and exit.4.6. Hydrate before, during, and after your session.4.7. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Subject thereto, we are not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the sauna except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

5. Children & Minors

5.1. Children older than 8 years are welcome, and must be accompanied and actively supervised by a responsible adult at all times.5.2. The accompanying adult is responsible for the child's safe use of the sauna, including session length and hydration. We recommend shorter sessions and the lower bench for children.5.3. No unaccompanied minors under 16 years of age may use the sauna without adult supervision.

6. Conduct

6.1. Our sessions are shared, social spaces. We ask all guests to be respectful of others on the bench.6.2. Swimwear is required at all times during shared sessions.6.3. We reserve the right to refuse entry or end a session, without refund, for any guest who is intoxicated, abusive, or behaving in a manner that endangers themselves or others.6.4. Glass containers are not permitted in or around the sauna.

7. Private Hire & Events

7.1. Private hire quotes are provided on request and are valid for 7 days.7.2. A deposit of 50% is required to secure your booking date for private sauna hire.7.3. The hirer must provide safe, level access for our trailer and a suitable setup area at the venue, and confirms they have permission to host the sauna at the location.7.4. The hirer is responsible for ensuring their guests are aware of and comply with the health, safety, and conduct provisions in sections 4–6.7.5. Any damage to the sauna or equipment caused by the hirer or their guests, beyond fair wear and tear, will be for the hirer's account.

8. Personal Belongings

We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to sessions or events. Please leave valuables at home.

9. Photography & Marketing

From time to time we take photos and videos at sessions and events for marketing purposes. We will always verbally ask for your permission before photographing or filming you in an identifiable way, and you may decline at any time.

10. Privacy

We collect and process personal information (such as your name, contact details, and booking history) in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and our Privacy Policy, available at https://stfrancismobilesaunaco.co.za/privacypolicy. We do not sell your information.

11. Website Use

11.1. Content on our website is provided for general information. Health and wellness information on our website is not medical advice.11.2. We may update the website, our schedule, prices, and these Terms from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be posted on this page with an updated date.

12. General

12.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.12.2. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.12.3.
